Travelling to a new country is something we all aspire for. While we plan to see the best of the place we wish to visit, travel insurance is an equally important step in planning your international / domestic trip, be it for any purpose, business or leisure. It is always advisable to opt for travel insurance. This means that you would be covered for any unexpected events like loss of passport, missed connections, loss of baggage or a hotel emergency during your trip.
Make sure your insurance policy covers expenses like medical emergencies, injury or illnesses. If you are planning for a family holiday trip or friend’s holiday trip, then every fellow traveller has to be insured individually.
If the trip is delayed by more than 12 hours due to some issues with airlines or natural disasters or due to a medical emergency, then that also should be covered. Special distress allowance is also provided in case of any emergency situations. It is always advisable to study the benefits and compare before you select your travel insurance.
Worries should not mar your holiday. After all, it's best to be safe than sorry!
